2026/27 TSFS (Grant/Loan) and NLSFT (Non-means-tested Loan)

Eligibility

 

Full-time Local UGs1 and RPGs2 taking up UGC/publicly-funded programmes in the 2026/27 academic year
AND have the right of abode in HK, or have resided in HK continuously for 3 complete years prior to the start of the programme. 

 

Remarks:

UGs taking up self-financing programmes in 2026/27 academic year (e.g. Dual Degree Program students who are in their final (5th) year in 2026/27​) should apply FASP/ NLSPS (details to be announced in early May).

RPGs who are receiving HKSAR RPG Tuition Waiver can only apply TSFS.


 

Application 

 

All applications of Tertiary Student Finance Scheme – Publicly-funded Programmes (TSFS) and Non-means-tested Loan Scheme for Full-time Tertiary Students (NLSFT) must be submitted online through “eWFSFAA(eWFSFAA.gov.hk) platform. 

 

  • For students with an “eWFSFAA” account, please login to eWFSFAA  to submit your application(s) for the 2026/27 academic year.
  • For students without an “eWFSFAA” account, please create an “eWFSFAA” account by one of the following means beforehand:

Students who have an “iAM Smart” account

Students without an “iAM Smart” account

Create account via “iAM Smart” (Demonstration)

Create a new “eWFSFAA” account (Demonstration)

Application Deadline for Continuing Students:   3 June 2026 (Wednesday)

 


 

Submission of the Declaration and Supporting Documents 

 

After you have submitted your online application successfully, you have to submit the signed declaration (or completed the digital signing) and supporting documents to SFO. Otherwise, your application will not be processed. You have to submit the required documents through EITHER ONE of the following means within 7 days from the date of submission of your application:

 

​1. Through online upload; or
 

2. Through HKUST Scholarships & Financial Aid Office (SFAO) at Rm 5022B, 5/F, via lift 3, Academic Building) 
      ** Only available from 21 May 2026 till 17 June 2026 during student service hours (Mon-Fri, 9:00am-12:45pm, 2pm-5:30pm; except public holidays)**; or

 

3. By mail or hand deliver to SFO's Drop-in box together with the Reply Slip to the respective addresses as follows,
