The Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme launched by the HKSAR Government is now available to local students who wish to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies at world renowned universities outside Hong Kong. Each awardee will receive a non-means-tested scholarship of up to HK$300,000 and a means-tested bursary of up to HK$200,000 per annum. Once awarded, a scholarship will last for the normal duration of the concerned programme in respect of undergraduate studies. For postgraduate studies, a scholarship will last for the minimum years required to complete the programme in respect of doctoral degree programmes and up to two years in respect of other postgraduate programmes.
