We are pleased to announce that “For Our Future Innovation and Technology Scholarship” is inviting applications from Full-time continuing PhD (year 2 and above) students whose programs are related to STEM in 2025/26 academic year. Details as follows:
Eligibility
- Be a permanent Hong Kong resident;
- Be a Full-time continuing PhD (year 2 and above) students whose programs are related to STEM in 2025/26 academic year (Must remain the status as a full-time student throughout the scholarship tenure);
- Have achieved at least a passing grade for the thesis monitoring or the equivalent course in the previous academic year; and
- Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese (including Putonghua) and English languages
Selection Criteria
- Academic performance (in the last academic year) with a CGA ≥ 3.0, and distinctive performance in academic projects
- The impact of research areas on society (details should be provided)
- Participation in social services (length of services, nature of services, location coverage, number and stratum of beneficiaries, public recognition, initiation of community project, etc. should be provided)
- Other considerations (experience in leadership/other training programmes, significant internship programs, recommendations from external stakeholders and content of personal statement, etc.)
Scholarship Details
- HK$80,000, one-off per student, will be awarded to a total of 10 students from 7 Hong Kong educational institutions. There is no designated quota to HKUST.
