AIA Scholarships Ceremony 2024 |

AIA committed US$100 million in 2020 to establish the "AIA Scholarships" program, which annually supports 100 outstanding undergraduate students from ten top local universities that excel in academic performance and community service. The "AIA Scholarships" aims to actively cultivate young talent and promote sustainable social development. The fourth cohort of scholars includes 12 HKUST students selected to receive this prestigious honor based on their academic achievements and contributions to the community as they pursue higher education in Hong Kong. Selected students receive HKD 50,000 each year to complete their undergraduate studies.
The AIA Scholarships Awards Ceremony 2024 was successfully held on 7 October 2024 and attended by Mr Jacky CHAN, AIA Regional Chief Executive andGroup Chief Distribution Officer; Co-chairman of AIA Scholarships Committee; Mr Stuart SPENCER, AIA Group Chief Marketing Officer; Co-chairman of AIA Scholarships Committee; and Mr Alger FUNG, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Hong Kong & Macau; Director of AIA Foundation. Representatives from the ten local universities, including Professor Frank LAM, HKUST Associate Dean of Students, attended to congratulate the AIA Scholars at the Ceremony. In addition to celebrating the 100 awardees of the fourth cohort, the ceremony also invited graduates from the first cohort who benefited from the scholarship to share their experience. The program featured insights from Mr Alger FUNG, scholar and graduate representatives, and singer Mr Alfred HUI, who shared their thoughts on maintaining a healthy and fulfilling life and the challenges they faced along the way.
