TSFS (Grant/Loan) and NLSFT (Non-means-tested Loan) 2024/25

Eligibility

Full-time Local UGs¹ and RPGs² taking up UGC/publicly-funded places in 2024/25 academic year
AND have the right of abode in HK or have had your home in HK continuously for 3 complete years prior to the start of  your course 

Remarks:

¹ UGs taking up self-financing programmes in 2024/25 academic year (e.g. Dual Degree Program students who are in their final (5^th) year in 2024/25​) should apply FASP/ NLSPS (details to be announced in early May).

² RPGs who are receiving HKSAR RPG Tuition Waiver can only apply TSFS.

Application Materials

All applications of Tertiary Student Finance Scheme – Publicly-funded Programmes (TSFS) and Non-means-tested Loan Scheme for Full-time Tertiary Students (NLSFT) must be submitted online through "SFO E-link – My Applications” platform. Creation/Login of MyGovHK account is required. Applicants are reminded to keep the username and password for future use.

Application Deadline for Continuing Students:   31 May 2024 (Fri)

[Remarks: Students who missed the recommended submission deadline should submit their applications as soon as possible.]

Submission of the Declaration and Supporting Documents 

After you have submitted your online application successfully, you have to submit the signed declaration (or completed the digital signing) and supporting documents to SFO. Otherwise, your application will not be processed. You have to submit the required documents through EITHER ONE of the following means within 7 days from the date of submission of your application:

1.  Through online upload; or
2.  Through Scholarships & Financial Aid Office (SFAO), HKUST (available from 11 September 2024 till 14 October 2024  (Office address: Rm 5022B, 5/F, via lift 3, Academic Building) during student service hours (Mon-Fri, 9:00am-12:45pm, 2pm-5:30pm; except public holidays); or
3.  By mail or By hand deliver to SFO's Drop-in box together with the Reply Slip to the respective addresses as follows,
