The presentation ceremony was to celebrate the awardees’ achievements under the HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund and Self-financing Post-Secondary Education Fund. Over 200 students from HKUST were awarded the scholarships in 2022/23 (as at 30 March 2023). The HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund was established to attract outstanding local students to advance their studies at home, and meritorious non-local students to pursue higher education opportunities in Hong Kong. The Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme aims to promote the quality and sustainable development of the self-financing post-secondary sector in Hong Kong.
